The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is the global body for professional accountants. British Council Taiwan provides ACCA CBE on Demand since July 2018. Candidates may register for ACCA F1-F4 and Foundations in Accountancy subjects through British Council Taiwan. For more information please visit the ACCA CBE on Demand official website.

General information

ACCA CBE on Demand

The British Council has been cooperating with the ACCA for more than 20 years, providing examination services around the world. Since July 2018, the ACCA has authorised British Council Taiwan to administer the ACCA CBE on Demand. We provide comfortable exam venues and high-quality computer equipment for candidates to have a good exam experience.

Benefits

  • Convenience: British Council Testing Centre is located in the centre of Taipei City, near the exit 1 of Taipei MRT Daan Station. Transportation is very convenient.
  • On demand: Examination sessions are provided every month. The exam schedule is more flexible compared with session exams.
  • Flexibility: No limitation on the number of times you can sit the CBEs.
  • Fast: Your results will be displayed on the computer screen at the end of the exam, so you will know immediately if you have passed.
  • Immediacy: Your results will be uploaded to your ACCA account within 72 hours.

Questions and Marking

Types of questions

  • Multiple choice: choose one answer from a list of options.
  • Multiple response: select more than one response from the options provided.
  • Multiple response matching: respond to multiple related statements by selecting the appropriate response for each statement.
  • Number entry: key in a numerical response to a question.

Questions are all worth one to two marks each 

  • FA1 and MA1: multiple-choice questions only, 2 points for each question.
  • FA2, MA2, FBT, FMA, FFA , BT, MA, FA, LW-ENG and LW-GLO: multiple choice, multiple response, multiple response matching, and number entry questions

ACCA CBE Practice

Candidates who take the ACCA CBE on demand for the first time are welcome to try the online CBE practise exams ahead of your exam. It will help you to familiarise yourself with the exam software and give you the opportunity to practise exam-style questions。

Registration Procedures

Please read the ACCA CBE on Demand Candidate Sheet thoroughly before registration.

Online Registration Instructions

  1. Create an account: Please click here to register your account.
  2. Apply for exams: Sign in with your account details and select the exam product you would like to apply for. (Professional exams - ACCA CBE on Demand)
  3. Fill in forms: Download and fill out the application form. After that, save it as Word or PDF format and upload the file to the online registration system.
  4. Review forms: Your application form will be processing by our examination approval team。
  5. Make Payments: Once your application has been confirmed, you will receive an email payment notification. The payment can be made by Credit Card, Debit Card, China Unionpay Card or through convenience stores in Taiwan (3 working days to be credited) and 7-11 iBon service. Please note that you will NOT be entered for the exams unless the full payment has been received.
  6. Process application: After receiving your full payment, we will make arrangements for your examinations. Examination information (including exam dates, times and venue information etc.) will be provided on the online registration system.
  7. Registration completed: Your exam registration has completed successfully. The payment completion letter will be sent to you.

On the test day

  • Candidates should report to the venue at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each exams.。 
  • Candidates must bring the same passport used at registration. If any candidates under 18 need to be collected after the end of the tests, the parent(s), guardian(s), any other authorized person(s) must present the Minor Candidate Consent Form (under 18) to invigilators.
  • Candidates may bring stationary into the exam room. No mobile phones, books, dictionaries, papers or any other devices are allowed unless approved for that subject.
  • In the event of exam cancellation due to a typhoon, natural disaster, or any other reason beyond our control, the British Council makes appropriate announcements via the British Council Taiwan website and email according to the Taipei City Government policy.
  • Unless an announcement has been made by the Taipei City Government that classes and work are cancelled, all registered candidates must assume that the examination will be conducted as originally scheduled.

Terms of Payments

Please note that you will NOT be entered for the exams unless the full payment has been received.

Refund and Cancellation

  • Candidates may cancel bookings before 5 working days prior to your examination date at 17:00 (GMT+8). Please contact us for the refund request form.
  • No refund will be provided if cancellation is requested after the deadline mentioned above.
  • Sufficient evidence or explanation must be given if cancellation is requested. This evidence can be in Chinese or English. Evidence can be a medical report or accident report (or similar), which should be issued by an authorised body. The report should include both the signature of the doctor or professional and stamp of the institution as well as indicate that the situation prohibits the candidate from taking the exam on the scheduled date.
  • 50% of the British Council Invigilation fees will be refunded for approved cancellation requests.
  • No refund will be provided if you are absent from the exam or late for the exam.

Results

Candidates will receive the provisional results after the exam is finished.
